A Separate Asset with Separate Rules
Investment gold is not a jewel, and we do not treat it as one. A gold bar is a financial asset with its own tax treatment, its own certification standard, its own customs classification and its own compliance regime. The route is the same: standardised data, fixed compliance steps, complete documentation. The rules underneath it are different, so we run investment gold as a separate line.

Sourced to the LBMA Good Delivery standard from accredited refineries, in recognised weights and finenesses, typically 995.0 and finer.
Full documentation
Refinery assay certificate, bar identification (serial number, weight, fineness) and a provenance dossier tracing the responsible-gold chain of custody.
Secured storage and delivery
Bars are stored within a secured, specialised vault environment and move via a specialised valuables carrier under all-risk transit cover.
One verifiable record
Every bar is entered against our data standard and held in an append-only record: what it is, where it comes from and how it has been handled.

How You Acquire Investment Gold

Enquiry
Tell us your requirements: weight, format and delivery address. We confirm availability and the current price. Apotropaeon sells investment gold for delivery; we do not store or hold metal on a client's behalf. Orders are settled in euro through the platform before dispatch, and we do not accept cash payments.

Onboarding
As a regulated transaction in a high-value asset, acquisition is subject to identity and source-of-funds verification before an order is confirmed.
03.
Price lock
The LBMA reference price is quoted in US dollars. At the moment of the order we convert it and fix the price. That conversion is a calculation reference only: the price you are quoted, and the amount you pay, are in euro.
04.
Payment
The fixed amount is paid in full before the order is confirmed and the bars are released. All payments are in euro.
05.
Confirmation and documentation
Once the payment is settled you receive the assay certificate, the bar identification, the provenance dossier and the tax documentation.
06.
Secured delivery
Insured transport via a specialised valuables carrier, traced end to end.
